Google Glass XE12

Finally (after months of waiting) I received a Google Glass XE12 Explorer Edition. So far my first impressions are overall not that bad.
It’s not too heavy, comfortable to wear, setup was easy and the handling, after a short time of getting used to it, very logical. One of the biggest cons was battery life. Depending on usage from only one hour up to maximal three which is really not enough for serious usage scenarios. And this leads to the second disadvantage: Glass is really cool and a solution - but for which problem?

In the near future I’ll try to figure out in which scenarios or areas it makes sense to use Glass (or one of it’s successors). I will try to collect my findings and notes in this post:
- Using Google Glass Mirror API from the command line
- Google Glass for disaster relief field forces
- Google Glass display problems
- Google Glass with frame
- Google Glass for disaster relief field forces - 2nd field test
- Google Glass used in Crisis & Disaster management - new paper
