This pages show you some basics about FAST and some more about ActiveFAST. What is FAST? Was allows you to "export" Reuters data to a variaty of different output formats on a regular basis. The fundament for this is a SQL Database like Qracle, MS-SQL Server or even MS-Access and XML. Reuters data is cached in the Database and exported using so called jobs at predefined times to xml. Further processing of this xml data using for example stylesheets is supported. Also the transfer of the processed data using FILES, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, AFTP (Active Fast Ticker Protocol) etc. is supported.
